Shown in picture is Shannon Hyland signing with Florida Institute of Technology.  Congratulations, Shannon!
In addition,  Jon Bottomy and Matt Perles have signed with UAH, University of Alabama, home to a nationally-renowned College of Engineering and located in the largest research park in the United States. The Alabama-Huntsville Chargers Men's Soccer Team competes in Division II and is a member of the Gulf South Conference.   Charger soccer has a rich history, beginning in 1969 when students approached Dr. Ostap Stromecky, a native of Ukraine, for his assistance in forming a club team. Stromecky coached the Chargers for 21 years, compiling a 265-90-29 record at the club and varsity levels. UAH won the NAIA District 27 championship 16 times and earned six berths in the NAIA national tournament. Bringing over 14 years of collegiate coaching experience to the table, Mike Mitchell took over the reins of the Charger men's soccer team in May 2010. Mitchell also brings a wealth of experience having coached previously at Clayton State University, Auburn University at Montgomery, Brewton-Parker College, Oglethorpe University, LaGrange College and Dekalb Community College. A three-time Georgia Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, the Atlanta native has coached 23 collegiate All-America players, six national team players and Hjortur Hjartarson, who was a two-time NAIA Player of the Year.
