In Memoriam - Brian Holloway
On Thursday, July 10, 2014, a tragic event hit our soccer family. Brian Holloway, husband to Judy, and father to Eli, Jack, Nolan, Nick, Ava, and Jenna, passed away very suddenly and without warning. Brian was a long time member of the Mason Dixon Soccer League community, serving as coach or assistant coach for nearly 10 years. In addition to his coaching duties, he was always participating in some capacity, including volunteering for field lining, helping at soccer appreciation day, participating in fundraisers, and making sure kids had an opportunity to play soccer in a safe and constructive environment. His wife Judy has been a member of the MDSL board for 8 years and has served in 3 different capacities, most recently as Secretary. Five of their six children have played for MDSL in both our intramural and travel programs.
Arrangements are currently being made and will be posted as soon as they become available.
The Mason Dixon Soccer League would like to honor Brian by collecting cash donations or gift cards (Dick's Sporting Goods) to ensure Brian's children can continue to play the sports that he loved to watch them play. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Jay Dills at
