The Tiny Canes program was developed to introduce preschoolers* to the great game of soccer through fun skills games, simple listening and participation activities, and parent and coach involvement on the field. Through this gentle introduction, it is anticipated that children will be ready to go on to the next age group and be ready to participate in games against other teams.
Tiny Canes do not hold weekly practices, or compete against other teams during the season; however, they do have 1 hour "practice games" scheduled on the field each game day. During that time, the coach will run the "practice game" with various activities, including, but not limited to: ball handling/dribbling skills, throw-ins, team and parent activities and sportsmanship.
The cost for the Tiny Canes is $60 per season. This includes a uniform (jersey, shorts, socks). The parent is responsible to provide shin guards (to be worn at all practices and on game days, under socks) and cleats.
*Please note: Some children, due to their birth date, may be in the Tiny Canes age bracket for more than 2 seasons.
