Recreational Program
PYSL fields teams in the Recreational Program for both boys and girls, ages 4-14 years old. The goals of this program are centered around the joy of playing soccer and providing a fun atmosphere where the child can play and grow. Registration is open to anyone who wants to participate.

When deciding which age group to play for, please follow the guidelines below regarding birthdates.  Understand that playing outside of your age group is not allowed in recreational play.  If your child needs a more competitive level, please see our Advanced Training or Select Travel Programs.

Ages Divisions:
Only the following ages will be offered this Spring 2010 recreational season:
U4 "Tiny Canes" (Birth date must fall between 8-1-05 to 12-31-06) **NEW**
U6 (Birth date must fall between 8-1-03 to 7-31-05)
U7 (Birth date must fall between 8-1-02 to 7-31-03)
U8 (Birth date must fall between 8-1-01 to 7-31-02)
*U11 (Birth date must fall between 8-1-98 to 7-31-01)  
*U14 (Birth date must fall between 8-1-95 to 7-31-98) 

*Please remember that at U10-U14, PYSL reserves the right to combine age groups to provide games.

Cost and Expense
PYSL operates two separate seasons each year.
Fall season $65 (September to mid-November)
Spring season $65 (mid-March to mid-May)
*Fees include jersey, shorts, socks, county participation fee, insurance, administration, field maintenance, field equipment, coaching equipment, and staff.

Training
Players will practice 1 night per week and once a month the Director of Coaching will oversee an age group specific training program.

Competition
All games are "in-house" or within PYSL for U4-U14.

Coaching Staff
PYSL has a Director of Coaching which oversees coaching education and coach placement. The Developmental Program coaching staff is strictly volunteer/parent coaches. Parent participation is encouraged and professional instruction is provided at the start of each season.

ALL PYSL RECREATIONAL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE A SCORE JERSEY, SHORTS AND SOCKS FOR THE FALL 2009 SEASON.  PYSL and Score Sports have reached a sponsorship agreement that will enable us to purchase our recreational uniforms for the next three years exclusively from Score!

With this sponsorship agreement in place, each player in our recreational program will receive a JERSEY, SHORTS and matching SOCKS.  Futhermore, the price of recreational soccer with PYSL will NOT increase as a result of us purchasing a better quality uniform.   

The Board of Directors feel that this increase in quality is important to the growth and development of our club.  Equiping our recreational players with better quality jerseys, shorts and socks will improve the image of our club and confidence in our players.  This agreement also enables us to give every head coach a polo shirt with the PYSL logo on it to give the entire organization a more professional look on gameday. 

We are excited to enter into this agreement and look forward to a positive relationship with SCORE SPORTS.
