I would like to thank the 68 teams, 1100+ players, countless familes and friends, and the Club Volunteers, who together had made this year’s tournament a tremendous success. I had the opportunity to visit many of the games over weekend and the feedback I’ve received has been very positive. The games I witnessed were exciting to watch and highlighted how far our youth have come with their skills and teamplay.
The Smith River Complex is easily one of the best facilities in the State of Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. The surface was trememndous and the ball rolled so clean. With everyone being at 1 location it made things more exciting and made for efficient operation.
The Shootout had referees from all over to include England and Finland. Their efforts and hard work did not go unnoticed throughout the weekend. I would like to send a special thank you to our referees!
