ABOUT TRAVEL SOCCER
As the competition for school soccer teams increases, the need to develop better and stronger players arises. Often some players and athletes show a talent towards the game, but need more of a challege to continue to develop. PYSL Travel soccer offers the advanced player an environment to compete with other high level players, and gives players the opportunity to work with more experienced and/or professional coaches. The emphasis of PYSL’s Hurricane Travel Program is to develop the technical and tactical skills of players above what a traditional recreation program is capable of offering. For some players, those goals may only be to make their middle school or high school teams, while others may want to play for a college program. PYSL strives to provide an opportunity for all levels of need and competition.

COMPETITION
PYSL’s Hurricane Travel teams play in the Blue Ridge Classic League (BRCL), and compete against other teams from various clubs in the greater Roanoke area and Southwest Virginia. More info about BRCL can be found at www.brclsoccer.org.

TRAINING/PRACTICES
Teams will practice twice a week and have most of their games on Saturdays and/or Sunday afternoon.  All practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays and begin the week of February 23 with minicamps. The times will be announced at a later date.
