Piedmont Youth Soccer League is a non-profit organization, operated by unpaid volunteers, and designed to provide recreational soccer opportunities for boys and girls ranging in age from U-4 to U-14. Located in the Martinsville and Henry County, Virginia area, our participation fee to play each recreation season (Fall/Spring) is $55.00 per player. We provide each player with a uniform (jersey, shorts and socks) which players are allowed to keep, and your registration fee includes all annual VYSL insurance fees needed to play. The balance of any monies received, including sponsorships, go towards Smith River Sports Complex fees, referee fees, phone bills, city utilities, property taxes, coach and parent training, education, etc.
We also provide all of our players with the opportunity to participate in our travel soccer program, and to compete in the Blue Ridge Classic League. Tryouts are held both in the fall and spring for our travel teams that play in the BRCL. At Piedmont Youth Soccer League, we believe in giving our players every opportunity to compete at a higher level.
Piedmont Youth Soccer League’s mission is to provide our players with the opportunity to participate in a spirited soccer environment, and to instill the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, determination, respect for authority, and self-esteem in the youth of our community. We are dedicated to providing each player with every opportunity to enhance and develop their skills along with a lifelong love for the game. Piedmont Youth Soccer League shall provide coaching of the highest caliber and encourage lasting personal relationships with other players and families.
Piedmont Youth Soccer League is committed to, and exists solely for the children under our care. We provide several opportunities throughout the year for them to receive additional instruction through our relationship with Commonwealth Soccer Programs, as well as opportunities to progress and play travel soccer and take their game to the next level.
As a club, we are constantly trying to come up with new ways to help our youth with the support from our parents, our community, and our corporate sponsors. If you are interested in helping our club, whether it be through financial donations, time commitments, or suggestions that can help us grow and move forward, PLEASE CONTACT US BY CALLING OUR OFFICE at 276.666.6201 or by EMAILING US AT SOCCER@PYSLSOCCER.NET.
