It is important to remember that, "Sportsmanship expresses an aspiration or ethos that the activity will be enjoyed for its own sake, with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one’s competitors. Being a ’good sport’ involves being a ’good winner’ as well as being a ’good loser’". In essence, show respect and class in victory, as you would like it shown to you in defeat.
Good sportsmanship makes the game more fun for everyone involved, and will be a major focal point during PYSL’s Spring 2010 season. We can not stress the importance of good sportsmanship enough, and will do our best to enforce our sportsmanship policies to their fullest extent in the upcoming season.
As fans, parents, coaches, athletes and administrators, it is important that we all show respect for the game and everyone involved.
