Player Registration

Those wishing to register for the Fall 2024 Travel season should register online or download a registration form, complete it, and return to Logan Jones, Director of Programs at Smith River Sports Complex. The address is 1000 Irisburg Rd. Axton, VA 24054.

Refund Policy

Piedmont Youth Soccer League (PYSL) agrees once criteria for a season is met, the Club will not issue refunds. A season is defined as team camp, two weekly practices from August 5th - September 27th, and three home game dates as assigned by the VA Premier League.

Player Card Release

Once the travel season is underway, and should payments outstanding not be settled at the time of asking for a release, the club can hold the player card until all payment is finalized.

Travel Tryouts

Travel tryouts will take place over at Smith River Sports Complex. We encourage you to register your child now for tryouts.

To register for the 2024 Fall Travel Team Tryouts, please complete the steps below.
1. Go to www.pyslsoccer.net

2. Click on register on the top right hand side if you are a new customer. If you are a returning customer, click on log in and sign in with your id and password and skip to step 5.

3. If you are a new customer, fill in all parent information and click on “create new account”. Remember, the parent is the customer. Proceed on to entering primary contact information and hit “next”.

4. Once you get to “Add new participant” this is the player’s information, fill in all of the proper information and proceed by hitting “next”.

5. At the “My Account” screen, click the check box next to your player (should be green with Available Programs). 2023 PYSL Fall Travel Program should appear as an available program for your player. Click on the “Register” next to the player’s proper birth year team (i.e. if a player is born in 2012, he should register for 2012 Boys). If your player would like to tryout for a team one year older, you would click on that available “Register” button. Finally, hit “Continue”.

6. Click on next and continue to fill in the proper waiver forms and contact information. You should see a “$0.00” next to pay in full. Click on “Continue”.

7. Continue to click on “Continue” until reaching the “Registration Order Summary” page. You will also receive a confirmation email once registration is completed.

To pay for the 2024 Fall Travel Season, please complete the steps below.

1. You will receive an acceptance email from PYSL regarding your placement on the team. Please click the link to that acceptance, or log into your account.

2. On the home page, you will see an accept and decline option under the player's name. If you choose to accept, hit the accept button and click that you understand the policies contract.

3. Afterwards, you will be asked to verify all of the information from the previous steps taken when registering the player. If no changes are needed, hit continue.

4. After clicking through the items you can purchase, you can pay for the season. If a payment plan is available, you can choose a payment plan. Otherwise, it will default towards paying in full.

5. Once a choice is made between a payment plan or paying in full, you can enter in your payment information and complete your payment.

We start a new uniform order contract this year, so all travel players are required to buy new uniforms for the 2023-24 seasons and will carry on until the 2024-25 seasons. These uniform pieces are to be announced later:

2024 PYSL Fall Travel Season

As the competition for school soccer teams increases, the need to develop better and stronger players arises. Often some players and athletes show a talent towards the game, but need more of a challenge to continue to develop.

PYSL Travel soccer offers the advanced player an environment to compete with other high level players, and gives players the opportunity to work with more experienced and/or professional coaches. Travel soccer is competitive and selection to the team is made through pre-season tryouts.

The emphasis of PYSL’s Hurricane Travel Program is to develop the technical and tactical skills of players above what a traditional recreation program is capable of offering. For some players, those goals may only be to make their middle school or high school teams, while others may want to play for a college program. PYSL strives to provide an opportunity for all levels of need and competition.
